The outputs of this engine should be close to 370 HP and 470 lb-ft torque. Fuel economy might increase to 19 mpg city/ 24 mpg highway/ 20 mpg combined.

The second option is a 2.7L EcoBoost® engine that’s rated to produce 375 lb-ft torque and 370 HP of power. Interestingly, the 5.0L Ti-VCT could also be included in the options and might churn out 387 lb-ft torque and a similar HP. Lastly, there’s the most powerful 3.5L EcoBoost mill that’s rated to deliver an exhilarating torque of 470 lb-ft and brawny power of 420 HP.

All of these engines are to be paired with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission. The company officials have even confirmed that there’s going to be a new 3.0L Power Stroke® diesel engine.

Standing out from the crowd is what Ford pickups have always been about. The new 2018 Ford F-150 is catering endless personalization for dedicated buyers with a myriad of packages. These optional packages include STX Appearance, Chrome Appearance, Special Edition and Sport Appearance Package.

This new Ford F-150 is all fancy on exterior styling as it wears modern design cues. The upscale styling of the front fascia is an aesthetic bliss as the headlights are robust. Like the ongoing model, these headlights are constrained by LED daytime running light to project a striking look.

Similarly, the interior cabin’s aestheticism is most bestowing to the eyes as Ford has extensively used premium wood trim and soft-touch materials throughout the cabin. The diver’s gauge cluster comes improved with a new TFT display for better readability.

The center console is reorganized with rotary controls for the infotainment system. The seats are now plush and integrate power lumbar support. Ford’s SYNC® infotainment comes standard and includes FordPass™, Ford Connect®, Mobile Wi-Fi® and several other features.

Competitors, Price and Release Date

Competition in the pickup truck segment is only growing and this new Ford F-150 will face rivalries from Toyota Tundra, Nissan Titan, Ram 1500, and GMC Sierra 1500. Given a handful of upgrades, 2018 Ford F-150 could cost somewhere around $28,000 or more. As to availability, dealerships could get this model by the end of 2017.
